The FairTax and Stimulus Packages |

Stimulus Package? Doesn’t that tell you something in itself? The reason we even need a stimulus package in the first place is because our government has sapped the life out of its own citizens through the current oppressive tax system and unabated spending. The citizens of this country currently have NO way whatsoever to stop it either. We are being held hostage by our own congress! They’ve become nothing more than a bunch of irresponsible despot types, the new elite, who feel that they are answerable to no-one. You can hear it in the things that they say and the way they say it They even have members of the media parroting their thoughts. Now they’re saying that the stimulus package is needed to give the people more optimism and confidence. WELL! How on earth can that happen when the majority of workers in this country have fallen so far behind when comparing income to inflation or income to taxation! People are feeling that difference in the loss, in the form of increased foreclosures, bankruptcies and the debt that they’ve run up, just trying to survive. Everyday regular bills are eating people alive. And there is NO doubt about it, the current tax system is responsible for much of the problems we face today. The congress is now falling all over themselves trying to be the first to take credit for the stimulus package. It’s a difficult task to be sure. They have to try to balance on the one hand getting the money that they’re going to send everyone, against bankrupting the country. Again, WELL! Now the congress knows how difficult it is to balance a daily budget. What they are doing is being done in most households in America on a monthly basis by everyday average middle class people. I wonder where they will hide when the economy finally does collapse under the shear weight of government spending. And the media! Are they naïve or are they doing it on purpose? TAXES, TAXES, TAXES! We need to REFORM TAXES! Get it? Putting money in the hands of those who need it, is a great political phrase, but it has no meaning whatsoever. It’s a temporary political fix. Period! Washington is calling it a tax rebate, so in other words, they’re only giving us back money that they shouldn’t have taken in the first place. All economics is personal! I heard that phrase used today, and I am going to adopt it. Although I am sure that phrase has never been used before, I think what it means is, that every individual or family is affected by day to day economics differently from their neighbor. Frankly, that’s what makes this country great. Competition! The thing of it is, is that we need to make the playing field a little more level. Moving to the Fair Tax would do that and give anyone who wanted to take the opportunity, to save more and perhaps improve their lot in life by striking out on their own and opening their own business. That’s the real American dream. FREEDOM For those in the media who have fought against the Fair Tax, I would like to know if you have done the research or are you simply against it because of something negative about it that you may have heard? If that’s the case, I would propose to you, that you need to get an analyst to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I’m not talking about some staff lackey that’s going to tell you what you want to hear, I’m talking about going out and getting an independent source that has nothing to gain or lose. If that person says that it is a good idea, get off the back of Mike Huckabee and let him carry the banner proudly.
